Diane Paddison's knack for business took root on her family’s Oregon fruit farm. Running a cash register and managing peach-pit crews cultivated abilities she sharpened years later in Harvard Business School after completing her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University.
Marriage and motherhood enriched the early years of Paddison’s 20-year career at Trammell Crow (now CB Richard Ellis). Paddison set ambitious goals early in her career, enlisting mentors to guide her progress in the male-dominated commercial real estate industry. She advanced to the executive suite as Chief Operating Officer of the Fortune 1000 commercial real estate company.
Paddison is known for seeking out opportunities to gather women professionals for connection and mentoring. This passion to influence women inspired her to establish a national nonprofit, 4word, to connect, lead and support young professional Christian women to fulfill their God-given potential (www.4wordwomen.org). Her book, “Work, Love, Pray” was published in September 2011 by Zondervan, a division of Harper Collins, to cast a vision for talented women entering a business world where networks and mentoring resources are built around men. Diane Paddison shares her path to the executive suite of three Fortune 500 companies in an industry where women are rarely found in leadership positions. She features stories from fifteen accomplished business women, and includes assessment and group discussion questions in each chapter to spark self-reflection. Paddison has directed profits from the book to the 4word organization.
Diane Paddison is a popular keynote speaker and panelist at business and faith-focused events around the country. She and her husband Chris love running, hiking, and active vacations. They have four remarkable college-age children, and they divide their time between homes in Dallas, Texas and Portland, Oregon.
