Did you know that God is doing a special work in Hollywood right now? Join Os and two grassroots Christian leaders who are working in Hollywood to learn just what God is doing in the arts and entertainment and media mountains.

Karen Covell first started pursuing a career in Hollywood as a TV producer. She quickly found it very difficult to live out her faith and pursue her career without a body of solid believing friends around her.  So, twenty eight years ago Karen and 8 other very young Christian professionals started praying together.  That group still meets monthly, 28 years later, and it’s called Premise.  Karen and her covenant group have grown to hundreds of Christian Hollywood professionals who now see themselves as marketplace ministers, artists, sharing their faith, praying together, doing works of truth, beauty and grace and keeping their eyes on Jesus all along the way. Ten years ago Karen realized another need – the church outside of Hollywood had to understand what God was doing there and needed to support the Christians in this mission field – the world’s most influential mission field! Most of the “Church” at large hated Hollywood, boycotted its films and kept young creative people away from this place.  That’s when Karen started The Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN).  “I felt the need to bridge the gap between the Church and Hollywood through prayer,” said Karen. Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) has three goals – to pray for the Christians in Hollywood, as “Entertainment Missionaries” and to pray for the non-believers as children of God who just don’t know Him yet, and to encourage talented Christians to come to Hollywood to live out their lives as creative people who also love God.

Shun Lee came to Hollywood in 2003 after having a career as a lawyer in Omaha, Nebraska.He grew up in an arts and entertainment family, playing four instruments and playing musical theatre. However, God touched him with a burden to impact Hollywood and moved there. He is a writer and has a production studio in the heart of Hollywood today. He is also founder and president of a non-profit organization called Greenhouse that seeks to serve the emotional, spiritual and professional needs of the arts and entertainment community. Their group holds a monthly meeting the first Sunday of each month in the CBS Studios. He also directs Hollywood Connect, a place for new arrivals of want-to-be actors and talent.
