What if you could eavesdrop on a conversation between God, the Father, and one of His sons on earth? Perhaps you might discover the heart of a Heavenly Father who loves all of His sons and daughters. Perhaps you would learn about His perspective on life. Perhaps something might be said that relates to your own journey to know the Father intimately. Os Hillman decided to go on such a journey. He purposed to listen each morning for that still small voice. As he listened he wrote what he heard. Some days it was personal to him. Other days it was for all His sons and daughters. In either case, you will be encouraged and inspired by these short writings that are filled with glimpses of the Father’s heart for His children. Beautiful book with embossed leatherette cover and ribbon bookmark. 292 pages.

This devotional is not the fuzzy-tummy, hold-your-hand type of encouragement. It is written for people who want to fulfill their God-given destinies and nothing less. Such persons will find themselves in very challenging situations of isolation, discomfort, and near hopelessness that God uses to reprogram His leaders. I am in such a place right now and the things the author shares in these pages confirm and encourage me to know that I am not spiritually ship-wrecked neither has God abandoned me – on the contrary, He is very much with me completing a work in me in ways I would least expect. The Church today if filled with leaders who have an unscriptural perspective of God the Father and struggle to identify with a loving, deeply caring and active father. Because of this many focus on Jesus only because we can identify with Him easier but fail to realize that Jesus taught us how to pray (communicate) to God – He said we should say “Father”, not King, not Lord, not Master (all of which He is). Jesus came to restore our relationship with God our Father. I believe that this powerful and insightful book is a great tool to build that Father-child relationship and provide encouragement to survive our seasons of adversity, isolation and reprogramming.

I bought some of these devotionals for my sons, my father, and for myself. I like the Father/son perspective of this devotional. The leatherette cover and finish is a nice touch. My favorite devotional remains Os’ TGIF though but this is a great one as well.

It’s always been hard for me to accept that God really Loves me. This devotional is like Him talking to me every time I read it and affirming me that He loves me and is pursuing me. I recommend it highly because you will feel like you are sitting in the Fathers lap!

This Devotional literally changed my life….leave it to Os to come up with a devotion so unlike anything I’ve every read before. I did something I’ve never done before…..I gave three out as gifts to men I disciple that I believe God would use to build their faith like it did mine. God Bless you Os for allowing us to be part of your conversation with God~!

This is a devotional book that I just recently discovered and is now part of my daily prayer time. As the title implies, each daily thought is written from God’s perspective (The Father’s Heart) based on Bible passages, in a concise, one topic way. For me, thinking on a singular thought (instead of several) is helpful as I start and continue my day.
